Perfectly situated near Cortona, the town revealed to travelers around the world through the wonderful best selling books of Frances Mayes and the hit film that followed “Under The Tuscan Sun”’, there lays an ancient three story building constructed over three hundred years ago. The building originally served as the main structure of a farm that was managed for a local aristocrat that owned most lands of San Lorenzo and additional lands between Cortona and Trasimeno Lake situated ten kilometers from it.

A few years ago the building and the adjacent lands were purchased by two brothers with architectural and construction background. Recently the hotel offered group painting courses for beginners. The courses were led by an international artist with specialty in instruction to physically challenged individuals. Some of the participants who never painted before were surprised to learn that each person, no matter how inexperienced he or she is, was able to produce impressive art paintings.
